This preparation is approximately for the filling of 2 dozen.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2  very large onions
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 box of Soyalitas vegetable protein
  • 1 liter of homemade or natural broth (homemade broth option: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon cumin and 1 teaspoon sea salt)
  • 100 g of chopped olives
  • Spices: 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of oregano, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 2  tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

PREPARATION:

Remember that to prepare, in a bowl put the Soyalitas with hot water, 1 tea spoon of broth, 1 tea spoon of sea salt. Let it soak for not less than 10 minutes

Then, dispose water and drain the Soyalitas.

Chop the vegetables into cubes, sauté for a few minutes in the hot oil. Meanwhile, hydrate the soybeans with the warm broth.

After 10 minutes, with the help of your hands, drain the excess liquid of the soybeans and transfer them to the wok with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce and seasonings, and mix well. Cook for 15 minutes over medium heat, stirring every so often so that it does not stick.

Once cooked, turn off the heat and add 100 grams of chopped olives.

The filling is ready! Now, with your favorite empanadas tapas/ puff pastry for turnovers, fill and bake the empanadas for 15 minutes in the oven at high temperature.
